OSSOM is a 501-c-3 non-profit, run out of our volunteer Executive Director's home. We have no additional staff and expenses are kept to a minimum. Below you'll see examples of our current needs and ideas of ways you can support us.
Our GOAL is to build OSSOM one community at a time, as a self-sustaining and self-generating national youth-led prevention organization we have a long way to go to reach that goal, but with your support we know we can make it happen. Thank you.
FinancialYou can help OSSOM by making a financial donation of any size. We are a 501-c-3 non-profit so your donation is tax deductable. This year your finacial donations will be used to promote OSSOM to more schools and pay for the business supplies used in OSSOM's daily operations. Any grants, company sponsorships or large donations will go towards an OSSOM event for students in the spring of 2009.
ExpertiseDo you have special skills and talents that you could share with OSSOM? Right now OSSOM needs help from someone with website expertise, an experienced grant writer, photographer and someone who knows how to take a video tape and convert it so we could add it our website. We are also looking for experience prevention professionals to serve on our advisory board.

TimeYou can help OSSOM by volunteering some of your time to help the program or one of our chapters. We have a number of simple projects that you could work on to assist the program. If you have a school in your area consider volunteering with it's OSSOM chapter as an advisor or support them as a volunteer. If a school does not have an OSSOM chapter consider starting a chapter.
ContactsWho do you know who could help OSSOM? We are currently looking for two types of contacts. First, we are looking for contacts in schools which do not currently have an OSSOM chapter. Having a specific person to call at a school is a huge help. The second contact type is a contact who works for a company who might be interested in sponsoring a non-profit like OSSOM.
